Parmod "P.K." Sharma, M.D. is the Co-Director of the New Jersey Center for Dermatology and Plastic Surgery, Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center, and a Clinical Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
After earning his medical degree from King George's Medical University in 1973, Dr. Sharma pursued post-doctoral studies in England and the United States. Dr. Sharma was a Senior Surgery Resident at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital of the University of Liverpool School of Medicine from 1981 to 1985, a General Surgery Resident at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1981 to 1985, and a Plastic Surgery Fellow at the New Jersey Medical School from 1985 to 1987. Dr. Sharma became a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Sharma is recognized worldwide for reconstructive, microsurgery, hand surgery and cosmetic surgery as well as reconstructive breast surgery for cancer patients. The author of numerous scholarly publications, Dr. Sharma is a member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. From 2000 to 2001 he has acted as Chief of Plastic Surgery at the New Jersey Medical School. He is an attending physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center since 1991. Dr. Sharma has been lauded by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.
